What follows is a list of all quests your character(s) can complete prior to entering the Ascalon Academy (thereby entering the Post-Searing area of Guild Wars). It is recommended that you complete as many quests here that you can, so your character(s) will be more than amply armed with experience, skills, and weaponry prior to advancing to the heart of the game. It's also a good idea to run through these quests, as well as the entire Pre-Searing world to collect as many skills as you can as you can apply these skills to any Player vs. Player characters you create on the same account. The information below is fairly self-explanatory - certain quests are color coded depending on the primary profession of the character who can unlock a particular quest, and if a quest requires certain items to be located in order to complete them. For the majority of these quests, you will be given the necessary items needed by an NPC, however, quests in Red require item(s) you have to search for - click the link to learn the locations of the item(s). If a quest has a link under the "Unlock" column, click it to find out what conditions need to be satisfied before that quest becomes available; if it has "after" it means you either need to complete another quest or be of a certain XP level before that quest is unlocked. There's no particular order to the list, except as a rough idea as to when will you encounter the NPC's for a quest. There's also no hard rule as to the order the quests should be completed, but you will find some further down the list are easier and quicker to complete than others that are listed above them. It's generally a good idea to complete as many quests in the Ascalon area before venturing further out into the world. |
